Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it is none other than Gumby’s best pony pal, Pokey! This is the third in a series of equine portraits I’ve done, having posted the others last year. I made this Pokey more upright than we’re used to seeing him, only so that he’d fit in more with the two previous pieces in the series.
I guess there isn’t really much else to say other than I remember watching and loving the Gumby show when I was a kid. The clay animation really captured my imagination, what with the bright colors, strange shapes, and goofy voices. There was nothing else like it. Hooray for clay!
