Here’s a page from my upcoming comic book Everythingness, which will be published by Hic & Hoc Publications this April. It will be a compilation of shorter strips all based on the “everythingness” theme. The sample page above actually has a conclusion that you’ll just have to wait for the finished book to see. But have no fear, it should be awesome!

It was originally my intention to have these sketchbook strips be completely pure. That is, I wanted the finished strips to be done completely by hand and look exactly as they did on paper in the book. Well, the clip art in the last panel here made me throw all those good intentions right out the window. But you know what, I don’t care. I’m the one who makes the rules around here, and I’m gonna do whatever I feel like doing. So there!
Welcome back to another edition of Custom Characters, the regular feature where I show off all of my custom vinyl figure creations. Today I’d like you to say hello to Who Hare.

Who Hare was made using a Mini Qee figure with acrylic paint and a glossy finish. This Qee figure is a step up in quality from the more generic figures that I’ve completed up until now. Of course, I’m merely speaking in terms of craftmanship and durability of the actual parts that make up the doll. Who Hare himself isn’t any more lovable than any of my other custom characters. They have no reason to be jealous. Honest!

This is probably the most freewheeling strip I’ve done so far in my sketchbook. Yay, I’m actually getting better at it!
