All New, All Different!

Saturday, December 13th, 2008

I’ve completely overhauled neiljam.com and could not be happier about it.  This new design is more streamlined than ever before and should provide a better all around Neil Jam web experience for all of us.  Since comics are the name of the game around here, I’ve once again appropriately made a new Neil Jam comic strip the centerpiece of this new design.  I’m not sure at this point how often I’ll be posting new strips, but since this new design has subscription capabilities it should be easier for everyone to stay in-the-know.  There are still Neil Jam minicomics and other odds and ends in the works which I’ll also be reporting about here… So things haven’t changed too much.  Everything’s just running a bit smoother.  Gotta love the modern digital age!

Music to my ears

Bockman PosterI recently finished this poster for Bockman, a band I was friends with back in my college days.  I designed a handful of fliers for them back in the day before we lost touch.  As it turns out, they’ll be playing with some other old friends of theirs at this upcoming show and figured they should go old-school with their poster as well, which is where I came in.

I’ve been listening to their album, Chasing Dragons (available on itunes), a lot since getting this “assignment,” and I must say that I think it is fantastic.  I am very proud of them!  (Click on the image to get a closer look)

Neil Jam Adventure

Neil Jam AdventureMore than a few years back I did a handful of Neil Jam stories featuring Willis as a sort of superhero. One of these stories found its way into the third volume of the Kramers Ergot anthology, and a little while later I packaged it by itself in minicomic form.

To make a long story short, the minicomic has been unofficially out of print for some time now, so I’ve decided to put the entire thing on the web for everyone to enjoy!

This action packed story features Willis as his super self juggling a menacing bully and a nagging lady friend at the same time, and offers a great glimpse into old school, classic style Neil Jam!

Neil Jam Adventure can now be read in its entirety within the comic gallery section of my ComicSpace page, so go on and get to reading!
