I guess there isn’t really much else to say other than I remember watching and loving the Gumby show when I was a kid. The clay animation really captured my imagination, what with the bright colors, strange shapes, and goofy voices. There was nothing else like it. Hooray for clay!

I’ve been dilligently filling up my Etsy shop with plenty of items to soothe the holiday soul. The traditional holiday offering of choice around these parts is the ever growing selection of Neil Jam Icons. This series of portraits features a cornucopia of pop culture personalities, all depicted in the trademark Neil Jam style. They are all hand drawn and come in fun little picture frames too, which only makes them that much more of the ideal gift. There’s already a sizable selection of characters listed in the shop, but I’ll be adding more in the coming days as well. So by all means, come on down and jam it up!

Neil Jam books are good for both readers and non-readers (lots of pictures). I’ve refurbished the bookstore on neiljam.com to include the recently completed Neil Jammin’ as well as a nice packaged deal for all of the Neil Jam books together. Neil Jammin’ is a compilation of the first batch of web strips that have been running on neiljam.com. It is a fun package that is sure to please.

On the left we have the main dude from Avatar, a movie I thoroughly enjoyed. Props to Hollywood for making a “big time” movie that isn’t a sequel, remake, or adaptation of some sort. A little originality can go a long way.

On the right is a bad guy from the DC universe called “Composite Superman.” I had never heard of this guy before I found him on one of my exploratory strolls through the internet. I think he might be more of an old school villain. As you can see, he is half Superman, half Batman, and has green skin. I know nothing else aside from the fact that he looks pretty cool.
