Neil Jam Icons in need of a happy home

Monday, October 19th, 2009

Now that convention season is over I’m left with a bunch of Neil Jam Icons in need of a happy home. Before I go through the trouble of listing each one individually in my Etsy shop, I figured I’d just let you know about them here. These original art pieces feature a cornucopia of pop culture figures each depicted in the trademark Neil Jam style. They are made with ink and markers on bristol board and come in ready-to-display frames. The majority of these pieces are 2.5″x3.5,” though there are some that are 2.5″x3.”

The going rate on these is $12 for each piece, as well as additional shipping costs, and I’m usually willing to make deals for anyone interested in multiple pieces. And I suppose if you have a character in mind that you don’t see here I might very well be able to craft that up for you as well. Just email me to let me know if any of these strike your fancy or if you have any questions — neil (at) neiljam.com

Still Crankin’ Out Those Neil Jam Icons

avatar and friend
I’m always on the lookout for new and different personalities to add my Neil Jam flair to, as they are a lot of fun to do. Here are a couple of my most recent concoctions.

On the left we have the main dude from Avatar, a movie I thoroughly enjoyed. Props to Hollywood for making a “big time” movie that isn’t a sequel, remake, or adaptation of some sort. A little originality can go a long way.

On the right is a bad guy from the DC universe called “Composite Superman.” I had never heard of this guy before I found him on one of my exploratory strolls through the internet. I think he might be more of an old school villain. As you can see, he is half Superman, half Batman, and has green skin. I know nothing else aside from the fact that he looks pretty cool.

As usual, these were made with markers and ink on 2.5″x3.5″ bristol board. Drop me a line if you’d like to call one of these your very own. I’ll pop ‘em in a little frame to make it official. Otherwise you can expect to see them at a convention near you or maybe in my Etsy shop. Word up!

Call The Plumber

Of all the Neil Jam Icons I’ve crafted up, from convention to convention, Mario is always among the most popular. From regular Mario, to Dr. Mario, to Tanooki Mario and so on, they never fail to garner an audience. And so I’ve decided to go a step further. Have I taken it too far? You be the judge.

Attack Of The Neil Jam Icons

Wednesday, July 14th, 2010

Just thought I’d give y’all a little taste of some of the Neil Jam Icons that have been percolating here at Neil Jam central. On the left, from the world of comic books, we have Beast, of the X-men. He has a nice blue, furry quality that makes him fun to draw. And on the right, from the world of children’s books, we have Babar, king of the elephants. The dude runs things.

As usual, these were made with markers and ink on 2.5″x3.5″ bristol board. Drop me a line if you’d like to call one of these your very own. I’ll pop ‘em in a little frame to make it official. Otherwise you can expect to see them at a convention near you. And don’t forget to check out some other pieces that I have on sale for cheap over in my Etsy shop.
