I just wanted to send a quick shout out to everyone who stopped by at the recent New York Comic Con. It was quite a thing, wasn’t it? I got more of a chance to check out the show than I did last year, and the scope of it all really blew my mind. People… and stuff… EVERYWHERE! I know I was just one little speck in the sea of it all, so I really appreciate everyone who made it a point to drop by and say hello. So… Thanks!

Biting The Big Apple

Neil Jam’s taking the Big Apple by storm! That’s right, this weekend I’ll once again be on hand at the New York Comic Con. Now please pay attention to the specifics: Like last year, I’ll be situated within the Anime Fest Artist Alley portion of the show. The Anime Festival is somewhat separate from the “meat” of the show, so you’ll have to remember to look for me there. But fear not, as It shouldn’t be too hard to find. It’ll be upstairs on the fourth floor of the building in a space that overlooks the main show floor. Last year there was an enormous sign pointing people towards the Anime Festival area. I don’t anticipate anything less this year.

So please come say hi. I’ll be doing my usual thing– being nice, signing books, dishing out fun original artwork (a record amount of Neil Jam Icons!), and whatever else I can think of. Let’s make it a weekend to remember!

(…If you’re scratching your head about why you have to look for me in the anime portion of the show, it’s simply because the main “Comic Con” artist alley is nearly impossible to get into (I haven’t had any luck), not to mention a lot more expensive. Just wanted to send a quick shout out to everyone who stopped by last weekend’s Chicago Comic Con. I’ve managed to get into a comfortable groove at that show over the last handful of years, and this year was more of the same. So I’m just gonna keep it simple this time and say thanks. It was great meeting and talking with all of you. I hope to see y’all again soon!

Chicago Comic Con 2011 This Weekend!

This weekend I’ll once again be setting up shop at Chicago Comic Con. I’ll be bringing with me all the usual goods– Groovy Neil Jam books, hella-cool Neil Jam artwork, and my beautiful Neil Jam smile. One lil’ procedural difference about this year is that I will now be able to accept credit card payments, for your convenience and mine. But really, If you’ve talked to me at the show before, you know the drill. And if you haven’t talked to me before, well then that will be your task this weekend!

My table (as seen on the map below) will actually be located towards the very back of the artist alley. Being in the back is bad in the sense that it is in the back, but it is good in the sense that it should be easy to remember where I am– in the back! I’ve made it a mini tradition to tie balloons to the table for that purpose as well, so I’ll probably be doing that again to double ensure that you’ll be able to find me.

It should be a good time, y’all. I hope to see you there. Let’s make it a weekend to remember!

After all these years, I still don’t exactly have my finger on the pulse of these kinds of conventions, but I did my best to stay afloat in that crazy anime crowd. I took a few photos which I posted on my facebook page, but for now, I’m just gonna leave you with what was perhaps the greatest sight of the weekend…

Attack Of The Anime Kids

Don’t forget, this weekend I’ll be struttin’ my stuff within the artist alley of Anime Central, or ACen, as the cool kids like to call it. I always feel like I’m visiting another planet when I go to these anime shows, so I’m looking forward to seeing what craziness will pop up this year (there’s always something). I wanted to take a quick second to make note of the MoCCA Fest which took place in New York a couple of weekends back. In short, what I want to say is thanks. Thank you to everyone who chatted me up, thank you to everyone who picked up a book or some artwork, and thank you to New York for providing an all around fun time.

Let’s Bite The Big Apple

This weekend, April 9th and 10th (Saturday & Sunday), I’ll be on hand once again at the MoCCA Art Fest in New York City. Last year went tremendously well, so much so that if I have half as much fun this time around, I’ll still be a happy boy. As you can see in the floor map of the show I’ve provided below, it looks like I got a decent spot, right in the heart of the show floor.

All Neil Jam stuff aside, this is a tremendous show for fans of indie/art comics. Every table should have something worth checking out. If you’re in the area and are into this “scene,” you owe it to yourself to check it out. And if you come say hi to me I promise I will be a nice guy. I’ll draw in a Neil Jam book if you want. And of course, I’ll have plenty of cool artwork on hand as well. It should be a dandy time, y’all. See you there!

My Weekend At C2E2

As you may have heard, I kicked off convention season this past weekend at C2E2 in Chicago. Guess what– It was a pretty fun time! After a fairly lackluster inaugural showing last year, the C2E2 folks really seemed to get their act together and provided a much better experience for both creators and attendees alike.

I did my usual thing at the table, hawking my wares while saying hi to old friends and making plenty of new ones as well. Thank you so much to everyone who stopped by to chat. The weekend was truly a success and I owe it all to you!

…And maybe Spidey too.

‘Tis The Season (For Comic Conventions)

Convention season has arrived, and I’ll be kicking it off this weeknd at C2E2! It’ll run from Friday the 18th through Sunday the 20th at McCormick Place in Chicago. I’ll have a Neil Jam booth within the Webcomics Pavillion section of the show, which I have highlighted for your convenience on the floor plan below. I’m not sure exactly where I’ll be within that space, but I shouldn’t be too hard to find. Just look for the booth adorned with Tots. In addition to being an all around nice guy, I’ll also be signing books and hawking my usual load of unique original artwork. Let’s make it a weekend to remember, folks. I hope to see you there.
