I just wanted to send a shout out to everyone who came by and said hi at Anime Central a couple weekends back. After all these years, I still don’t exactly have my finger on the pulse of these kinds of conventions, but I did my best to stay afloat in that crazy anime crowd. I took a few photos which I posted on my facebook page, but for now, I’m just gonna leave you with what was perhaps the greatest sight of the weekend…
Don’t forget, this weekend I’ll be struttin’ my stuff within the artist alley of Anime Central, or ACen, as the cool kids like to call it. I always feel like I’m visiting another planet when I go to these anime shows, so I’m looking forward to seeing what craziness will pop up this year (there’s always something). So stop on by and shoot the breeze with me. I promise I’ll be nice.
I wanted to take a quick second to make note of the MoCCA Fest which took place in New York a couple of weekends back. In short, what I want to say is thanks. Thank you to everyone who chatted me up, thank you to everyone who picked up a book or some artwork, and thank you to New York for providing an all around fun time.

Yes, updates have been a bit sporadic as of late. That happens every now and again, especially while prepping for a big convention (MoCCA Fest this weekend, y’all). We’ll get back to the grind next week, probably on Wednesday. And then we’ll do our darnedest to maintain regularity. Lord knows the comic strip deserves it. Thanks!
This weekend, April 9th and 10th (Saturday & Sunday), I’ll be on hand once again at the MoCCA Art Fest in New York City. Last year went tremendously well, so much so that if I have half as much fun this time around, I’ll still be a happy boy. As you can see in the floor map of the show I’ve provided below, it looks like I got a decent spot, right in the heart of the show floor.
All Neil Jam stuff aside, this is a tremendous show for fans of indie/art comics. Every table should have something worth checking out. If you’re in the area and are into this “scene,” you owe it to yourself to check it out. And if you come say hi to me I promise I will be a nice guy. I’ll draw in a Neil Jam book if you want. And of course, I’ll have plenty of cool artwork on hand as well. It should be a dandy time, y’all. See you there!
As you may have heard, I kicked off convention season this past weekend at C2E2 in Chicago. Guess what– It was a pretty fun time! After a fairly lackluster inaugural showing last year, the C2E2 folks really seemed to get their act together and provided a much better experience for both creators and attendees alike.
I did my usual thing at the table, hawking my wares while saying hi to old friends and making plenty of new ones as well. Thank you so much to everyone who stopped by to chat. The weekend was truly a success and I owe it all to you!
…And maybe Spidey too.

Convention season has arrived, and I’ll be kicking it off this weeknd at C2E2! It’ll run from Friday the 18th through Sunday the 20th at McCormick Place in Chicago. I’ll have a Neil Jam booth within the Webcomics Pavillion section of the show, which I have highlighted for your convenience on the floor plan below. I’m not sure exactly where I’ll be within that space, but I shouldn’t be too hard to find. Just look for the booth adorned with Tots. In addition to being an all around nice guy, I’ll also be signing books and hawking my usual load of unique original artwork. Let’s make it a weekend to remember, folks. I hope to see you there.
Convention season is approaching fast. First up will be C2E2 in just a couple of weeks (I’ll be posting more about that as it approaches). That means I need to start thinking about how to best display all of the Neil Jam junk I bring with me to every show. This year I thought it might be fun to bring some special friends along with me… And is there anyone more special than our beloved tots?
I recently hunkered down and assembled an army of tots to help keep me company at conventions. So please come say hello to us this year… Otherwise I might have to sic them on you.
In case you hadn’t noticed, we’ve been a little bit off with the comics posting schedule this week. I understand if you’re concerned, but don’t fret too much, as I’ll be making up for it before the week is out. We’re still gonna get our weekly allotment of three strips.
