For a while now I’ve been itching to try my hand at a Munny doll. For the uninitiated, a Munny is a blank, do-it-yourself vinyl figure, perfect for artists (or non artists) of all types. You can make ‘em look however you want ‘em to look. A pretty cool concept, right? Well, I had yet to take the official Munny plunge when I spotted these “generic” munny figures in the craft store Michaels the other day.

These “generic” fellas were half the price of the “high end” munny dolls, so I figured the time was right to get into the game. I just think it would be pretty cool to get good at making these. I did a test job on the tiny guy pictured below. He turned out alright, but I think I can do a lot better, and look forward to seeing exactly what I can do. And rest assured, I will be sharing the results here (unless they suck, of course).

I use these guys as well, the price really can’t be beat for the size. Can’t wait to see what else you do with them. Take a look if you’d like at my dA I’ve done a few figures.
Cool, great to hear from another figure maker. I dig what I saw in your gallery. I’ll be posting pics of my first official figure soon.
These doodle budz are very cool.Where do you get thos diferent colors at
If you’re referring to the little dude I’m holding in the picture, I simply used some sharpie makers I had lying around. The markers don’t cover very well and tend to rub off, so I’ve been using acrylic paint on all the “official” figures I’ve done since then.
